“Damn it!”

Kat doesn’t even bother looking up. She’s hunkered down over her laptop at the dining room table looking at the changes I’ve made to my website, every now and then furrowing her brow in a way that’s making me sweat. I’m trying to keep busy over here in the living room, taking baby steps with the removal of the plaster on the wall. When this is finally done it’s going to be a masterpiece that rivals anything Michelangelo ever attempted. I’ve been sanding for three times as long as it really needs. You can slide your damn cheek over this wall it’s so smooth.

Kat’s changed into her yoga pants since I rolled her around in the sheets. As soon as I made my way through the front door, I made short work of getting her out of her pencil skirt. Those skirts are going to be the death of me. Seeing her ass in one of those tight things makes my brain shift immediately to getting her out of it. God help us both if I ever see her out in public in one. That could get indecent fast. The fact that I never see her out of this house will probably keep me from ever embarrassing us both. That thought gets stuck in my head and I wonder if I should ask Kat if she’d like to actually try to make it out one of these days. Even just down the road to Smitty’s for a beer would be a change from our usual routine.

The white T-shirt she’s got on makes it obvious she isn’t wearing a bra. The peaks of her nipples nearly poke through the thin fabric, making it impossible for me to concentrate on work. Not that this part of the repair takes much concentration, not when I’m basically redoing work that should have been finished days ago. I let my eyes wander over to look at Kat’s chest, but her business face keeps me from really enjoying the view. Those furrowed eyebrows make me wonder if I’m wasting my time on all this. Maybe I should just stick to the manual labor. I know I’m good at that, even if I don’t know how to upgrade my website worth a shit.

Kat’s tongue pokes out from between her lips and I forget all about anything business-related. I could just drop all this work pretense and scoop her up off her chair and carry her back into the bedroom. Or I could skip the bedroom altogether and spread her out on the top of the dining room table. Push the papers and laptop out of the way and make better use of that surface. Pull that T-shirt back over those nipples and put my mouth on them. Kat reaches for her wine glass and takes a sip, scribbling on that damn legal pad with the other hand. She’s filling page after page and I’m dreading hearing what she has to say. I can’t even pretend to be busy later with dinner dishes because those were done hours ago.
